Nonplussed
After about ten weeks of absolute dormancy, I finally decided to write a new nonsensical post... and a new layout of course. (*Claps*) Gone is the Carnaval version 1 whose model is my obese cat Mingming. The cat in the two-toned banner that you see now above is Kofi, the one my family adopted from PAWS some years ago. I suppose I've now given him the privilege to become my next blog icon until the time comes when I sense there's a need for another personality change.
So much has happened these past months, most of them are markedly crappy events, and some, though sad events, brought nice repercussions. I keep telling some of my friends that this semester has generally made me a grumpy person. For example, the psychological traumas I constantly get from some clinical instructors, my grade in pharmacology that nearly plummeted, and my tete-a-tetes with four teachers who asked me the same questions: Anung nangyayari sa'yo at sa grades mo? 'Di ka naman ganyan nung past semesters a... Nagbo-boyfriend ka ba?
For your information, I grappled with all my major subjects, and it's a good thing I obtained good scores during the second half of the sem. I don't like to think of that as some sign of a growing GC-ness in me though. But at least it showed the fruits of my erudition, haha. And no, I love being single since birth.
Besides that, there was a time where my circle of friends in the classroom got divided into smaller in-groups which after a few weeks had prodded me to become extremely mad with Bien and did not talk to him for a week. And a few days after we were friends again, his mother died of cancer. I found it paradoxical though why it took a death of a loved one for friends to reconcile and bring them closer to one another. Hopefully on the 19th, we'll all get to watch the GoF together. =]
The Promising Return of the Badminton Mania
I reluctantly met with my Salot friends last week to play badminton at the sports center beside SM Manila because I felt I already lost the luster in play this sport. In fact, I lousily played with them for about ten minutes, and afterward my entire body surrendered from sudden fatigue. Hoping I could easily get out from the heat and exhaustion, I coaxed them to cease their games and dine at Jollibee instead.
I must have gotten bored with rackets and shuttlecocks. I think I may need to look for some new sport. I'm considering playing soccer just because Jules and Jesminder made this sport appear so cool in Bend It Like Beckham. Hehe. The sport has lots of disadvantages for me though like the expensive apparels and unknown friends who savvy soccer. Plus there's scarcity of soccer fields in the metropolis, which is why I'm already dismissing this prospect sport and possibly return to playing badminton.
