Not Enough
Two months and 12 days: the length of time I've been reading J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I am still on the first chapter of the fourth book. And there's twenty-eight more chapters to go. Oh yes, I'm such a slow reader, but I'm enjoying every little aspect of Tolkien's profound imagination. I got this little feeling at the back of my head that I will have finished reading this by Christmas break.
If there is one thing I would rather not talk about in this blog, it's about the acads. Everytime I try to talk about it, I find myself complaining in the end. This semester, I'm taking five subjects. (Okay, let's just hope I won't whine afterward). Four of these are, in my opinion, not essentially any harder than any other fields of interest of mankind. I admit there are hard parts to it, but when you come to the end of it, you really just need to have some good skills in critical thinking in order to pass them.
My GC-ness however emanates full-blast when it comes to my ICN subject. I read as many stuff about critical care until my vision blurs by the time I divert my eyes from my reading materials. Still, my recitations are poor and thus far, wala parin akong napapasa na short quiz. Many times I scratch my head and wonder why I still fail. ICN is one-tenth easy, nine-tenths difficult. And there's an awful lot of stuff between them, like the threatening oral revalida, ECG interpretations, and drug doses, to name an awful few.
I just want to point out that this three-unit subject is already toxic as it is but the teacher makes it more so. Why? Can someone shed some light to this? I cannot even imagine making four journals for coming in class late and five if you're absent.
*flashbacks of Pamela-wan... I remember how she almost cost me my scholarship two years ago.
If history really has the tendency to repeat itself, then this is not going to be good for me. Grabe, how I miss the med-surg days with Sir Santos and his hair.
