Che Cosa A?

Ever since I have always believed that writing for one's blog should never be done out of compulsion. And yet this is one of those many moments where I challenge my own principles of blogging. Indeed it has been ages since you ate my shorts, not to mention to everybody that my huge ass has also become swollen and painful, thank you very much. So by that the last thing I need to be is to be stuck on the couch and watch the silliest telenovela ABSCBN has to offer me and get more demented by the day. I don't get why I wasn't born to like these kinds of programs, they suck out all the happiness in me (and in the words of Harry) it's as if I'd never be happy again.

Grr...

So much happened since the time I decided not to update immediately. And during my dormant phase of blogging, I became the new auditor for the supreme council. I didn't mean to become so active in school. Yes, admittedly I once fantasized about running for office in our college but never to run for the supreme student council. Hulloow, 'cause I think that’s too huge a responsibility for me. Hawak ko lahat ng kolehiyo?! But the elders in my political party met one evening and selected me (out of so many human beings more capable of leading students) to run for SSC auditor. With regard to how I felt upon knowing this, you wouldn't want to know, basta gulat ako, 'yun na 'yun. So for four days we campaigned around the school and I lost 20 pounds that time. (ows) The elections were held at the school gymnasium last March 3. During the counting, the candidates weren't allowed to stay within 30m from the gym, kaya naman nag-vigil ang mga partido namin sa labas ng school. 'Yung mga elders nagsha-charades, 'yung ibang colleges nagtutugtugan, 'yung iba dinalaw ng antok (vigil kung vigil!). Pero kami namang taga-college of nursing ay nasa sulok hawak-hawak ang mga reviewer dahil may long exam sa oncology the next day. Bad trip. Pero nung napagod na kaming mag-review, scrabble kami all night long.

When I learned that my mates were scared shitless about the poll results, I reevaluated myself and supposed that maybe there's something wrong with me when I realized that I did not feel a thing about myself winning or losing. Manhid ako. Kaya siguro maraming naaasar sakin. Anyway, when the results came up, I was short of 33 votes from my opponent. I was on the losing streak, too bad, pero no big deal naman talaga. I could not call myself defeated yet even if I was short of 33 votes. Kasi during campaign, 'yung party ng aking worthy opponent ay nag-violate ng campaign rule which is ground for disqualification of the candidates. But instead of disqualifying them all, the COMELEC resolved to deduct 10 percent votes from all of the other party's candidates. Malaki rin 'yun no. So yeah, that was how I ended up becoming an officer. I took oath yesterday and I felt happy despite sensing the doom that's about to molest me in the not-so-distant future.

On my next post I hope to tell you all about my courageous (or is it humiliating) deed at the pre-med quiz show.

Some things have been bugging me for days now. Ayokong pangunahan ako ng kaba o takot. “Everything is possible to him who believes.” Sabi 'yan sa Bible. Kaya naman naniniwala ako.

Wonder How Latte Tastes Like At The Mocha Monkey

I'm currently reading a mystery novel, a very riveting The Basic Eight by someone named Daniel Handler. It was only when I looked him up on the internet seven minutes ago that I learned he is also known as the Lemony Snicket. Ooh lala.

So much brilliance radiating, world without end.
